The Supreme Court of Nevada has scheduled bar admissions ceremonies for new lawyers as follows: The Reno Ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at 3:30 p.m. at the University of Nevada, Reno in Nightingale Concert Hall, 900 N. Virginia Street. The Las Vegas Ceremony will be held on Friday, November 3, 2006 at the Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall on the University of Nevada, Las Vegas campus, 4505 S. Maryland Parkway. New admittees participating in an admission ceremony must be present at least one-half hour before the ceremony begins and must check in with the Supreme Court Clerk prior to the ceremony. Representatives from the Clerk's Office will be in the lobby to collect oaths and take down the names of those participating in the ceremony. There will be special seating for the new lawyers apart from the general audience. Successful applicants for the July 2006 bar examination are eligible to participate in the ceremony, provided that they have met all admissions requirements. Applicants "on hold" have not met all requirements for admission and may not participate in the ceremony. The Washoe County Bar Association will host a reception immediately following the Reno ceremony at Legacy Hall, located on the University of Nevada, Reno Campus. In Las Vegas, the Clark County Bar Association will hold a reception at 5:30 p.m., at Cili Restaurant, Bali Hai Golf Club, 5160 Las Vegas Boulevard South. Please contact the Washoe County or Clark County Bar Associations for further information about the receptions.
