"When the Court heard oral arguments on the matters on July 1 and 14, we vowed to reach our decisions as quickly as possible. We knew that issuing our opinions before early voting began was important to both the candidates and Nevada voters. Although it took considerable effort by the Justices and the Supreme Court staff, we are pleased that we could resolve these controversies in a timely fashion."
