The AOC Certified Court Interpreters Program hereby announces the offering of a Written Exam Retake in both Las Vegas (Regional Justice Center, Supreme Court Courtroom, 17th floor, Las Vegas, NV 89101) and Carson City (Supreme Court of Nevada, Law Library, Room 107, 201 South Carson Street, Carson City, NV 89701) on July 1, 2010 (Thursday) at 4 p.m.
The written test measures candidates’ knowledge of areas central to the work of a court interpreter at the level of a minimally qualified interpreter: English language, court-related terms and usage, and ethics and professional conduct. The written examination retake will be available to those persons who either: 1. failed the written exam (did not achieve a score of 80%), or 2. did not pass the oral exam within 2 years of passing the written exam. A mandatory prerequisite for the written exam retesting is attendance at the 2010 Skill-Building Workshop. For more details concerning the 2010 Skill-Building Workshop, please click here.
